It’s our tradition to eat rice dumpling 🥢. I love eating them very much, as there are different tastes and with freshness from leaves 🍃!😋😋😋
To know the culture, let me show you the Chinese word of rice dumplings (「糭」)。
You can see the word as two parts.
For the left part (「米」), it is the radical of the whole word （「糭」）, which shares the meaning of ‘rice’. For food made in rice, we usually use「米」as part of the word, like rice noodles （「粉」）、rice bran (「糠」)
As you see there are lots of dots in the word, you can imagine them as ‘rice’ granular. Does it sound more easy to learn Chinese?
Besides, we could also use the word ‘rice dumplings’(「裹蒸糭」 ) to describe someone who wear thick clothes in winter (as thick as if you are wrapped and tied in leaves with fillings)
